Visit Pensacola’s Palafox Market

Fresh food, local artists, and friendly people describe Pensacola’s Palafox Market. Palafox Market is open every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Palafox Street in downtown Pensacola. Visitors at the market will get to relax and experience the outdoors while walking a paved, shaded pathway filled with locally grown food and artwork created by local artists.

The Brannings and the Keens

We enjoyed talking with our fun artist friends Johnny and Deborah Branning of Branning Art. These guys make some really cool sea turtle t-shirts and other tropical art. We also had a nice time talking with Rhonda Keen and Eric Yoder about one of my favorite drinks… coffee! They are the owners of Keens Beans and sell great fair trade organic Costa Rican coffees.

The guys from CasaPane got my attention with the free bread samples with homemade olive spread. They did give me a loaf of their pizza bread and I ended up returning to purchase the olive spread. We tried them out as soon as we got home. They were fresh and flavorful. We’ll definitely be going back for more.

Scott & Michelle Early owners of Early Foods, LLC had some great looking salsa. We love salsas and usually make our own, but we may need to return to try out new recipes.

I’ve been following East Hill Honey Company on Twitter for a while. It was nice to meet Thomas in person and check out all the honey products. Yes, they even had some cool chemical-free, honeycomb surf wax just waiting to for the local surfers to pick up for their boards.
