If you are looking for something unique to do in the Pensacola Bay Area, then look no further than an off-road trail ride with Hamilton MBT Tours. We recently hooked up with Randy, owner of Hamilton MBT Tours, for a fun off-road fat tire bike experience in Blackwater River State Forest.
My family and I met Randy at the Red Rock Bridge trailhead where he set us up with the gear we needed for our guided tour. The trailhead is at Juniper Creek, a beautiful sandy-bottom river that flows through Blackwater River State Forest. It was a chilly winter day, but I imagine Juniper Creek would be the perfect swimming hole after trail-riding in the warmer months.
After getting set up with bikes, helmets, and water, we were excited to start hitting the trails. We road in and out of trees with Randy in the lead on well-maintained single-track trails that zigzagged through a long-leaf pine forest. We loved riding with the fat tires, they made it easy to ride in the sandy areas of the trails. There are up to 12-miles of trails to explore, but for this excursion, we opted for a six-mile ride.

We recommend a guided tour with Hamilton MBT Tours. If you’d like to do a self-guided tour, Hamilton MBT Tours also rents bikes and all required gear for a fun and safe bike adventure. In addition to Red Rock MBT Trail, they also offer guided tours on other trails near the Pensacola Bay Area.
