The east side of the river has a sandy/grassy bank you can launch from. The west side of the creek has a concrete seawall you may launch from. Paddling south on Pond Creek is a pleasant experience. The creek terminates with the Blackwater River.

  • Paddling south on the river is clear of log jams and opens up the further south you go. Going south is a moderately easy paddle and flows with a mild current.
  • Paddling north towards the creek narrows, you may encounter log jams. Going north, you will paddle against a mild current.

  • Pond Creek is the same creek that runs through Arcadia Mill.
