Brackenridge Nature Trail is a 0.3-mile boardwalk loop trail located in the Naval Live Oaks Park, a part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore. The trail has signs describing how the woodland provides food, shelter, and nesting for birds, reptiles, and mammals.

An earthen loop hiking trail also joins this wood-paved trail, with an observation platform overlooking Santa Rosa Sound. This is a peaceful place to take a morning walk and explore nature. It’s also a great place to take kids. Afterward, you could picnic and walk or sit near the shore.
The boardwalk is wheelchair-accessible.
